Contacting the editorial desk.
Email, correction workflow, disclosure questions and the queries the editorial desk does not handle.
How to reach the editorial publication.
A short page on the contact channels for the editorial publication. The editorial desk responds to corrections, source questions and disclosure questions within the published turnaround.
Editorial contact: [email protected]. The published turnaround is 5 working days.
Corrections
Material corrections are noted in the dated register. Send corrections to the same email; the editorial desk confirms receipt within 24 hours and the correction note within 5 working days.
Disclosure questions
Disclosure questions are answered in plain language on the disclosure page; complex disclosure questions can be sent to the editorial email and the desk will respond within 5 working days.
What this desk does not handle
The editorial desk does not handle platform-side support queries (withdrawals, KYC, account access). Those queries belong on the platform's customer-care channel, not on the editorial publication. The platform's customer-care contact is described in the customer-care chapter.
How to write to the editorial desk.
A short email with a single question is the cleanest way to write to the editorial desk. A long email with multiple questions is harder to action. The editorial desk responds to the email within the published turnaround; the reply will address each question in turn.
What to include
- The URL of the affected page
- The question or the correction requested
- The public source if the question is about a citation
The desk does not handle platform-side queries. The desk handles editorial queries about the publication itself.
What the editorial desk will and will not do.
The editorial desk responds to corrections, source questions and disclosure questions within the published turnaround. The desk does not handle platform-side queries (withdrawals, KYC, account access); those belong on the platform's customer-care channel. The desk's response is in plain English and references the affected chapter and the source.
What to include
A short email with a single question is the cleanest way to write to the editorial desk. Include the URL of the affected page, the question or correction requested, and the public source if the question is about a citation. A long email with multiple questions is harder to action.
What the desk does
The desk confirms receipt of the email within 24 hours. The desk reviews the source or correction. The desk publishes a corrections note within 5 working days if the correction is material. The desk publishes an editorial clarification within the same window if the question is about a citation.
What the desk does not do
The desk does not handle platform-side queries. The desk does not provide legal, financial or professional advice. The desk does not adopt operator-specific language to favour a particular platform. The desk does not accept review in exchange for favourable editorial coverage.
Why the desk is small
The desk is small by design. A small desk can publish fewer items with more attention per item; a larger desk would dilute the methods. Purewin chose fewer items with more attention per item. The publication's working hours are the same as the platforms it reviews, with a 24-hour buffer for source verification.
How the desk's response is structured.
The desk's response is structured in three parts: a confirmation that the email was received, a review of the question or correction and a response that addresses the question or correction. The desk's response is in plain language and references the affected chapter and the source where relevant.
Confirmation of receipt
The desk confirms receipt of every email within 24 hours. The confirmation is a short reply acknowledging the email and the topic. The confirmation does not commit to a substantive response; the substantive response follows the review.
Review of the question
The desk reviews the question against the publication's data posture (for privacy), the publication's methods language (for editorial) and the publication's source list (for citation). The review typically completes within 24 hours of receipt.
Substantive response
The substantive response is published as an email reply to the reader. The response may include an editorial clarification, a corrections note or a referral to the platform's customer-care pathway where the question is platform-side. The response is published within 5 working days of receipt.
The follow-up
If the desk's substantive response does not answer the question, the reader can reply with a follow-up. The follow-up is reviewed against the original email; the response is published within 5 working days of the follow-up.
